Andrew's Descent is a winding cobbled street that connects the Upper Town with the Lower District of Podil, and one of the most famous locations in Kiev. Home to bona fide tourist attractions such as the stunning baroque St. Andrews Cathedral and the house of Mikhail Bulgakov (now a museum dedicated to the writer), St. Andrew's Descent is also the place to stock up on Soviet souvenirs and kitsch artwork, courtesy of several peddlers' stalls. Take a walk down this picturesque street in the evening and enjoy the lantern light playing on the cobbles and the views over Podil by night. A very romantic spot indeed.
