Kiev Works to Expand Subway

The city of Kiev continues work to expand its subway connections, with one new stop already added in late 2011 - Vystakovy Tsentr on the Kurenivka-Chervonoarmiyska line. The plan is to continue expanding the lines with at least one subway station annually. However, in 2012, two stations are planned to open - Ipodrom and Teremky.

With all this construction and expansion work, you might think the current price of a ticket (roughly €0.20) will rise. Luckily, the city seems to remain committed to keep costs down for the citizens of the city. After all, nearly 2 million people use the Kiev subway every day!
