Aquarium

If you're in Kyiv for any length of time chances are you'll want to locate a decent fitness club for fighting off the extra pounds put on from those stodgy Ukrainian dishes. Aquarium is probably the most popular in town thanks to its first class facilities and professional staff, many of whom boast the odd medal in their respective disciplines. At Aquarium you can partake in aerobics, squash, boxing, swimming, diving or simply hit the gym. Meanwhile for those who consider the term 'active leisure' an oxymoron, you'll be pleased to know guests can pamper themselves in the sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, beauty salon and, of course, the bar. Don't forget to check out the huge fish tank from which Aquarium takes it name.

Prices are ridiculously high. About 3-4 times what I pay for my very nice fitness centre in London.

Very good teachers for classes. Passes are reasonable if you have to work in Kiev for a few months, I recommend getting one of those.
